Oh, how lucky the Johnson family is to have such a safe and warm home where they can gather and fellowship. “Nana’s house” is the epitome of what a home should be. The freezer will always be filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies. There will be french toast in the morning + spaghetti with homemade meatballs for dinner. There will always be a space at the dining table for your place setting, and the more the merrier. The living room is filled with family Christmas cards, graduation announcements, senior photos, and selfies. The little table, at the foot of the stairs, has handwritten “receipts” from our restaurant we used to run (perfectly, I might add) out of the sunroom. In the attic, you’ll find my dad’s childhood bedroom and my mom’s wedding dress hung perfectly on the door. Nana’s house is everyone’s happy place. Our home base.
